Clim’Ability Care at BE 5.0 – A highlight for industrial resilience in the Upper Rhine region
On November 25 and 26, 2025, the Clim’Ability Care team participated in BE 5.0 – Salon Industries du Futur (Future Industries Exhibition), held at the Parc Expo in Mulhouse. This major event in the Grand Est region brought together companies, institutions, risk experts, and researchers to discuss industrial transformations and climate challenges.
Our presence allowed us to showcase the work carried out since 2016 as part of the Clim’Ability project and to strengthen the dialogue between the scientific community and economic actors in the Upper Rhine region.
Une conférence labellisée par la Journée Nationale de la Résilience 2025
A major moment in this edition was the conference entitled “Industrial Resilience in the Age of Climate Change: Tools and Strategies for Action,” co-hosted with our partner Weewio, which was certified by the French government as part of National Resilience Day 2025.
This distinction highlights the relevance of the Clim’Ability Care approach, based on risk awareness, territorial analysis, and direct support for companies in the Upper Rhine region.
During this presentation, the team discussed:
- the evolution of climate risks at the regional level;
- the vulnerability issues specific to industrial sites;
- the decision-making tools developed as part of the project;
- several concrete examples of resilience approaches that have been implemented.

Meetings and discussions with stakeholders in the field
The Clim’Ability Care team also had the opportunity to talk to many stakeholders in the field, including HSE managers, industrialists, risk experts, teachers and researchers, and institutional representatives from the three countries of the Upper Rhine region, thereby enriching the discussion on adaptation needs and challenges.
These discussions highlighted the concrete expectations of businesses: understanding risks, assessing vulnerabilities, structuring an action plan, and coordinating strategic decisions with operational constraints.
A project promoting cross-border cooperation
Clim’Ability Care is part of a resolutely cross-border initiative, bringing together French, German, and Swiss partners around a common goal: to support businesses and regions in the Upper Rhine region in dealing with the impacts of climate change.
Participation in BE 5.0 has strengthened these ties, enabled the project’s progress to be presented, and opened up new prospects for cooperation.
Acknowledgments
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the partners and visitors we met at the fair, as well as to Weewio for its commitment and contribution to the session dedicated to resilience.
