The objective of INTERREG programs is to carry out cross-border, multidisciplinary projects with and for the actors of a territory.
Since 1989 the European Union has been proposing INTERREG research programs. These programs have the interest of financing joint and cross-border projects, thanks to the support of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Currently more than 100 INTERREG programs are underway in the European Union.
