The MoBiMet (Mobile BioMeteorology) project is a collaboration between the University of Freiburg, the DWD and Météo-France (German and French weather service) and is led by PhD student Markus Sulzer. The MoBiMet is an instrument that measures thermal stress at different workplaces and generates predictions of thermal stress for companies. For this purpose it measures air temperature, humidity, light, thermal radiation and an estimation of solar radiation. Furthermore, wind speed is also measured at outdoor stand locations. These sensors enable companies to adapt the working conditions of their employees to the results of the MoBiMet, which are immediately available on the device or online.
