We cordially invite you!
From 17 November to 9 December 2023, the event series “Streifzüge durch Territorien von Sorge und Gewalt” will take place at various locations in Freiburg: films, installations and symposia are on the programme at the Kommunales Kino, the Jos Fritz Café and the University of Freiburg.
We are living in a global geo- and eco-trauma. Our relationship to the earth, to other generations, cultures, illness and economic practices has come apart at the seams. We are increasingly involved in armed conflicts and are realising dependencies that we have suppressed for a long time. Our bodies react with fight, flight and paralysis. Experiences and concepts of care and violence play a decisive role here. They are personally, structurally and epistemically intertwined. How do we endure the ambivalences associated with this? How do we cope with the associated helplessness? Can we learn from trauma phenomenologies? And if so, what? In our transmedia explorations, we shed light on aesthetic, affective and political aspects.
A series of events organised by the mbody research group and Offenburg University of Applied Sciences with the Kommunales Kino and the University of Freiburg, the Centre for Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy Freiburg, the unsound e.V. association, the Jos-Fritz Café, the Roma Office and the Last Generation Freiburg. The artistic director is Daniel Fetzner in collaboration with Martin Dornberg (psychosomatics/philosophy), Ephraim Wegner (programming/sounds) and Adrian Schwartz (film).
We look forward to seeing you there!
